This 325,000 gsf residential tower is only the second to break ground in Oakland since 2008, bringing new life and possibility to downtown.

1700 Webster is a concrete-framed high-rise apartment building that will occupy an infill parcel in downtown Oakland, extending 23 stories above grade. The ground floor incorporates retail, a cafe, and restaurants, as well as a lobby and amenity spaces for the 206-unit apartment tower. Four stories of parking above the ground floor accommodates 148 stalls.

The building features prominent setbacks at the sixth floor, where accessible and landscaped terraces occupy the podium to the north and south of the 18-story apartment tower. Additional outdoor space will be provided at the rooftop and at select balconies distributed throughout the building envelope.
The structural system for the typical tower floors, including the parking levels, consists of two-way post-tensioned concrete floor slabs supported by concrete columns.
